The Hmong peoples do create beautiful textiles. What most people dont know is many of their designs also tell their history and culture. Up until 30 years ago the Hmong had no written language instead they relied on their skill with sewing passed down from generation to generation to chronicle their history. Their large blankets and tapestries depict important events and family history by pictures. The Hmong Bags depict nature and geometrical shapes.
